      Upload Photos to a Project

      Quickly & easily load photos related to your construction projects into one convenient location: ConstructionOnline™

      BACKGROUND

      As the leader in construction management software, ConstructionOnline™ understands the importance of having an organized system for documenting photos taken at the jobsite, as they're an integral part in tracking a project's progress. ConstructionOnline's Project Photos tool gives construction companies an easy way to upload project photos from anywhere, at any time, to one cloud-based location. Once uploaded, Project Photos stored in ConstructionOnline™ can easily be previewed, edited, downloaded, & shared. 

      BEST USE

      It is highly recommended to upload Project Photos into Project Albums. Project Albums not only help you and your team keep project documents organized, but give better options for moving, downloading, and sharing Project Photos once uploaded. 

      STEPS TO UPLOAD PHOTOS TO A PROJECT

      ConstructionOnline™ offers users two convenient ways to upload Photos to their Projects: 

      A. To Project Albums (RECOMMENDED):

      1. Navigate to the Project via the Left Sidebar.
      2. Select the Photos tab and click the Project Albums category. 
      3. Select the Project Album you wish to add photo(s) to. 
      4. Within the desired album, click the green (+) Add New Photo button.
      5. Within the Upload File(s) window, choose how you would like to upload your new photo(s):
        1. Upload from Your Computer: Copy photos from your current device
        2. Upload from Your Cloud File Storage: Choose photos from your cloud storage to copy into ConstructionOnline™
          1. If you have integrated your preferred cloud storage to ConstructionOnline™, the available files will appear within the respective cloud storage option.
          2. If you have not integrated your preferred cloud storage to ConstructionOnline™, select the hyperlinked "Click here" text within your preferred cloud storage option to allow ConstructionOnline™ to access your cloud storage contents. ConstructionOnline™ supports Cloud File Integration with: 
            1. Google Drive
            2. OneDrive
            3. Dropbox 
            4. Box 
          3. ConstructionOnline™ also supports an integration with Google Maps, allowing you to search for a location via the Google Maps Scanner and create an image file of the map or satellite view. 
        3. Click and Drag File(s): Drag & drop photos into the window for upload
      6. If the ☑️ Close when upload is complete option is selected in the bottom left hand corner of the screen, the Upload File(s) window will close upon successful upload of the photo(s). 
        1. The ☑️ Close when upload is complete option is selected by default. 
        2. If this option has been deselected, the Upload File(s) window will show an "Upload Complete!" message upon successful upload of the photo(s). Click the "Close" button to leave the Upload File(s) window. 
      7. The uploaded Photo(s) will appear within the Project Album as well as on the Project Photostream. 

      B. To the Photostream: 

      1. Navigate to the Project via the Left Sidebar.
      2. Select the Photos tab to automatically open the Photostream category. 
      3. To add new photos, click the green (+) Add New Photo button.
      4. Follow Steps 5 & 6 above.
        1. Please Note: Uploading Project Photos to the Photostream is recommended for Photos you wish to exclusively view and edit within ConstructionOnline™. 
      5. Upon successful upload, the Photo(s) will appear on the Photostream as well as within Project Albums > Uncategorized Photos.

      Want to streamline the management of photos across your company's projects? Consider creating a standardized set of Project Albums as a part of your Project Template(s) so that you and your team can save time organizing your critical project documents and information.

            Please note this video walkthrough shows how to upload a Photo to a Project Album, which is the recommended course of action for uploading Photos to ConstructionOnline™ Projects. 

            ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

            • Project Photos are also available within Project Files.
            • Permissions: ConstructionOnline™ Company Users with the following Files & Photos permissions can upload Photos: "Can View & Upload", "Can Upload & Edit", and "Can Upload, Edit, & Delete". 
              • ClientLink™ and TeamLink™ Users cannot upload Photos directly to the Photostream or Project Albums; however depending upon the ConstructionOnline™ Company's ClientLink™ / TeamLink™ Settings, they may have permission to view photos and/or Albums that you choose to share with them. 
            • Mobile App: Project Photos can be uploaded to Project Albums and/or the Photostream from the CO™ Mobile App.
