Delete a Subtask

Remove Subtasks from task lists in ConstructionOnline, the industry's leading construction management software

BACKGROUND

Proven to improve the attention to detail and organization of construction projects, ConstructionOnline's To Do Lists tool offers construction companies industry-leading solutions that result in more efficient management of construction jobs. Just as easy as it is to build and manage detailed construction task lists, ConstructionOnline Users also have convenient options for removing tasks and subtasks from their lists. 

STEPS TO DELETE A SUBTASK

  1. Navigate to the desired Project via the Left Sidebar.
  2. Select the Project Tracking tab to automatically open the To Do Lists category.
  3. Within the To Dos pane in the List View, locate the desired Subtask.
  4. Right-click on the Subtask, and select the "Delete Subtask" option. 
  5. Confirm you want to delete the selected Subtask by clicking the "Delete To Do" button.
    1. The Subtask will be removed from your task list can cannot be recovered.

👋 Helpful Hint 

Need to delete more than one Subtask? Streamline your task management and save valuable time by deleting multiple Subtasks with efficient bulk actions. The bulk delete action can be performed by holding down the Ctrl or Command key on your device, selecting the desired tasks, and then choosing the "Delete" option. 

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

  • Subtasks deleted from ConstructionOnline cannot be recovered. 
  • Need to reassign a Subtask to a new parent task or change it from a Subtask to a To Do instead of completely removing it? Check out these resources:

  • Permissions: ConstructionOnline Company Users must have "Can Create, Edit, & Delete" To Do Lists permissions in order to delete Subtasks. 
  • ClientLink™/TeamLink™ Access: In addition to global ClientLink/TeamLink permissions, ClientLink and TeamLink Users must be added as an Assigned Resource in order to delete Subtasks.
