Build detailed, easy-to-use construction Punch Lists to ensure efficiency & quality across construction projects and teams
BACKGROUND
Essential to maintaining the quality and timeliness of construction projects, ConstructionOnline's Punch List software provides construction pros with the tools needed to build & manage detailed construction Punch Lists at any time, from any place.
To support the high level of detail needed to manage construction projects from start to finish, ConstructionOnline™ Punch Lists are engineered to store all of the comprehensive data related to predefined specification, best practice, and/or inspection lists.
ConstructionOnline™ Users can build out the specifics of their Punch Lists through Items which can include details such as Due Date, Priority, Status, Percent Complete, Cost Impact, Resources, Attachments, and more.

PREREQUISITES
- A Punch List must be created before Punch List Items can be added.
STEPS TO ADD AN ITEM TO A PUNCH LIST
- Navigate to the desired Project via the Left Sidebar.
- Select the Project Tracking tab and choose the Punch Lists category.
- Click on the Punch List you wish to add a new Item to.
- If the Punch List is stored within a Folder, drill down to the specific Punch List by clicking on & opening the relevant Folder(s).
- Within the Punch List click the green (+) Add New Item button.
- Step through the New Punch List Item window to populate the new Punch List Item information, including:
- Details
- Item Name/Description: *Required
- Item Creator: This field selects the current user by default and is not editable
- Item Number: Assign a numerical value to the Punch List Item
- ConstructionOnline™ automatically assigns the next subsequent numerical value to new Punch List Items (i.e. if there are two existing Punch List Items within the Punch List, the new Punch List Item will be assigned the the number "3" unless otherwise modified).
- A unique number is required to create a Punch List Item (i.e. the new Punch List Item cannot be assigned the numerical value of an existing Punch List Item).
- Room/Location: The room, building, or other identifying location relevant to the Punch List Item at hand (i.e. Kitchen, Primary Bathroom, 10th Floor, Building 6, etc.)
- Percent Complete: Enter the percentage of work associated with the Punch List Item that has been completed
- Mark the check box next to ☑️Mark as Complete if the Item has been completed
- Due Date: The date by which the Punch List Item must be completed
- Priority: Assign one of the following priority levels to the Punch List Item
- None
- Low
- Medium
- High
- Status: Set the Status of the Punch List Item
- This field can be customized.
- Trade: Select a Trade to attach to the Punch List Item
- This field can be customized.
- Cost Code: Choose the desired Cost Code for the Punch List Item from the dropdown menu
- Cost Codes must be assigned to the Project to populate here.
- Cost Impact: Enter the estimated dollar value impacted by the Punch List Item, if applicable
- Mark the check box next to ☑️To Be Determined if Cost Impact has not been calculated yet
- Assigned Resource(s): Select the Company Contact(s) you wish to give permission to view and edit this Punch List Item and its respective Issues
- Related Resource(s): Select the Company Contact(s) you wish to give permission to view and edit this Punch List Item IF they are assigned as a Punch List Editor
- Item Notes: Any additional Notes about the Punch List Item
- Item Issues: Add, edit, and/or delete Item Issues within this tab
- Attachments: Add & manage any additional attachments relevant to the Punch List Item within this tab
- Details
- Finalize the details of the new Punch List Item by clicking the blue "Create" button. The new Item will populate within its respective Punch List automatically.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
- Permissions: ConstructionOnline™ Company Users must have Punch Lists permissions set to "Can Create, Edit, & Delete" to create new Punch List Items.
- ClientLink™ and TeamLink™ Users with Punch Lists permissions can "see Punch Lists they're assigned a Viewer on, make changes to Punch Lists they're assigned an Editor on, and make changes to Punch List Items they're an Assigned Resource on."
- Mobile App: New Punch List Items can be created from the CO™ Mobile App.
