Set the Priority Level of a To Do

Assign low, medium, or high Priority to construction tasks in ConstructionOnline™

BACKGROUND

Integrated alongside powerful construction Scheduling & Calendar, Punch List, and Checklist tools, ConstructionOnline's To Do Lists feature delivers sensible software solutions that ensure the successful completion of any construction project. ConstructionOnline To Dos and Subtasks come complete with data fields, such as the Due Date, Priority, Traffic Light, and Percent Complete Fields, designed with efficient and timely execution in mind. Setting the Priority level of To Dos in a consistent manner helps construction teams focus on high-impact tasks, ensuring the most critical activities are addressed first while improving the project workflow and timeline.

VIDEO WALKTHROUGH 

STEPS TO SET THE PRIORITY LEVEL OF A TO DO

  1. Navigate to the desired Project via the Left Sidebar.
  2. Select the Project Tracking tab to automatically open the To Do Lists category.
  3. Within the To Dos pane in any View, locate the To Do you wish to set the Priority Level of. 
  4. Right-click on the To Do, and select the "Edit To Do" option. 
  5. This will open the To Do blade extension where you can choose to assign one of the following Priority Levels by clicking into the Priority field and selecting the desired option from the dropdown menu: 
    1. None 
    2. Low 
    3. Medium
    4. High
  6. Once you've made your Priority Level selection, finalize your updates by clicking the blue "Save" button. 
    1. The new Priority Level will populate in the Priority column in List and Group By Views, and on the To Do Card (if Priority Level is shown via Card Layout settings) in Board View

⭐ Prefer to work spreadsheet-style? To Dos can managed via inline editing on the dynamic tables in List & Group By Views by simply clicking into the desired cell and making your desired modifications. 

 

⭐ Working in Board View? If you have Priority information shown on your Card Layout, Priority Levels can be added or modified directly on the card by clicking on the Priority icon and making your desired updates.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

  • Working with To Dos that are not assigned to a Project? All Company To Dos can be accessed from Company Overview > Project Tracking > To Do Lists.
  • Permissions: ConstructionOnline Company Users must have "Can Create, Edit, & Delete" To Do Lists permissions to be able to set or modify To Do Priority Levels. 
    • Additionally, any Company User added as an Assigned Resource to a To Do can manage the To Do's Priority Level, despite their To Do Lists permissions. 
  • ClientLink™/TeamLink™ Access: In addition to global ClientLink/TeamLink permissions for To Do Lists, ClientLink and TeamLink Users must also be added as an Assigned Resource in order to manage To Do Priority Levels.
  • CO™ Mobile App: The Priority Level of To Dos can be modified from the CO Mobile App.
