Duplicate a To Do
Improve efficiency by utilizing ConstructionOnline's shortcuts for replicating construction tasks and subtasks
BACKGROUND
ConstructionOnline's user-friendly construction To Do List software offers construction pros the ability to quickly & easily build, track, and share tasks and task lists with their entire project team. To streamline the creation of tasks, ConstructionOnline provides easy-to-use duplicate capabilities, allowing team members to repurpose existing tasks efficiently.
STEPS TO DUPLICATE A TO DO
- Navigate to the desired Project via the Left Sidebar.
- Select the Project Tracking tab to automatically open the To Do Lists category.
- Within the To Dos pane in any View, locate the To Do you wish to duplicate.
- Right-click on the To Do, and select the "Duplicate" option.
- This will open the "Create a To Do" blade on the right side of your screen with all of the current To Do's information populated into the appropriate fields.
- Please note this includes any existing Subtasks, Attachments, Reminder Settings, and Linked Items.
- Update any task details that may need to be different within the duplicated task with consideration to the following conditions:
- All fields within the Details tab populate exactly the same as the original task by default.
- All fields can be modified with the exception of the Related Project field (if duplicating within a Project) and the Created By field.
- All Subtasks, Attachments, Reminders, and Linked Items from the original To Do will carry over unless modified or removed.
- Subtasks cannot be duplicated independently of their parent task.
- Finalize the duplication by clicking the blue "Create" button.
- The duplicated task will populate automatically to your To Do List.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
- Working with To Dos that are not assigned to a Project? All Company To Dos can be accessed from Company Overview > Project Tracking > To Do Lists.
- Permissions: ConstructionOnline Company Users must have "Can Create, Edit, & Delete" To Do Lists permissions to be duplicate To Dos.
- Additionally, any Company User added as an Assigned Resource to a To Do can duplicate that To Do, despite their To Do Lists permissions.
- ClientLink™/TeamLink™ Access: In addition to global ClientLink/TeamLink permissions for To Do Lists, ClientLink and TeamLink Users must also be added as an Assigned Resource in order to duplicate To Dos.
