Create a Punch List Folder

Store construction punch lists within organized Folders & Subfolders in ConstructionOnline's Punch List software

BACKGROUND

An integral feature within ConstructionOnline's project tracking software, ConstructionOnline's Punch List tool offers construction companies the ability to create, organize, manage, share, and save project task lists in one cloud-based location. 

ConstructionOnline™ Punch Lists have the flexibility to be structured in whatever manner may best address the scale, scope, and requirements of your projects. 

This can be by phase, classification, date, draw, or any other grouping. 

To provide an additional level of organization, ConstructionOnline™ Punch Lists can also be organized into an unlimited number of convenient Folders & Sub-Folders to support a superior level of detail.

BEST USE

Utilizing Folders & Sub-Folders within ConstructionOnline's Punch List software ensures your company's critical quality control documents are organized and accessible. 

By grouping punch lists within clearly labeled Folders, construction companies can: 

  • Find & manage their punch lists easily and efficiently—reducing the risk of project tasks being forgotten or overlooked 
  • Share & update task lists across project teams—decreasing the possibility of  miscommunications and incomplete information 
  • Improve the management of construction punch lists overall 

STEPS TO CREATE A PUNCH LIST FOLDER

  1. Navigate to the desired Project via the Left Sidebar.
  2. Select the Project Tracking tab and choose the Punch Lists category.
  3. From the Punch Lists pane, click the green (+) Add New... button and select "Add Folder" from the dropdown menu.
    1. If you would like to add the new Folder into an existing Folder or Subfolder, drill into the desired Folder by clicking on & opening the relevant Folder(s). 
  4. Within the Create a New Punch List Folder window, enter the Name you wish to give the new Folder. 
  5. Click the blue "Save" button to create the new Folder. 
    1. The new Folder will automatically populate within Punch Lists. 

Ready to organize Punch Lists within your new Folder? New Punch Lists can be created manually within Folders & Subfolders, or you can move existing Punch Lists to fill the Folder(s) as well!

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION 

  • Permissions: ConstructionOnline™ Company Users must have Punch List permissions set to "Can Create, Edit, & Delete" to create new Folders. 
    • ClientLink™ and TeamLink™ Users cannot create Punch List Folders.
  • Mobile App: New Punch List Folders can be created from the CO™ Mobile App.
