      Restore Estimate Column Defaults

      Reinstate predefined columns of construction estimate data in ConstructionOnline's OnCost™ Estimating

      BACKGROUND

      Within the industry-leading construction estimating software—OnCost™ Estimating—ConstructionOnline™ Company Employees have the ability to view construction estimate data from predefined views which expertly configure columns of data for different phases of construction. In instances where Company Users have hidden default columns or added columns that are not within a Column View by default, Users can restore the Estimate Column View's default columns with the click of a button. 

      STEPS TO RESTORE ESTIMATE COLUMN DEFAULTS

      1. Navigate to the desired Project via the Left Sidebar.
      2. Select the Financials tab to automatically open the Estimating category.
      3. Using the dropdown menu, select the desired Column View.
        1. Budget
        2. Simple Estimate
        3. Advanced Estimate
        4. Job Costing
        5. Invoicing
      4. Right-click on any visible column and select the Show/Hide Columns option.
      5. At the bottom left of the Column Selector window, click the "Restore Defaults for _______" text to restore the default Estimate columns.

      6. Click the grey X icon to close the Show/Hide Column window and save your changes.

        ♦ NOTE: Restoring Estimate Column Defaults does not remove any entered data from the Estimate - it only updates what data is displayed for the Company User.

        ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

        • Changes to Estimate Column Views are specific to each User's profile and do not impact how other Users within the same ConstructionOnline™ Company Account can/will view any given OnCost™ Estimate. 
        • Default columns for Estimate Column Views can be restored at any time within Project Estimates, Opportunity Estimates, and Estimate Templates.
        • Permissions: Any ConstructionOnline™ Company User with Estimating permissions set to "Can View" or "Can Create, Edit, & Delete" can Restore Default Columns. 
        • Mobile App: Managing OnCost™ Estimates is exclusively available via browser access to ConstructionOnline™. Estimates are presented in View-Only Mode on the ConstructionOnline™ Mobile App.
