Set Project Status

Edit the Status of ConstructionOnline™ Projects to "Pending" or "Live" quickly & easily

BACKGROUND

An integral part of ConstructionOnline's construction management software, ConstructionOnline™ Projects function as the hub for organizing, managing, and storing the critical construction information and data related to individual construction projects. To provide flexible visibility and accessibility options for construction companies, ConstructionOnline™ Company Users can choose to set their Projects as "Pending" or "Live" depending on what stage of the Project they are in. 

STEPS TO SET PROJECT STATUS

  1. Navigate to the desired Project via the Left Sidebar.
  2. From any tab, click on the Project Name in the top-center of the browser window.
  3. From the dropdown menu, select "Edit Project Details."

     
  4. Within the Project Details window, choose the Project Status tab.

  5. In the Project Status tab, use the toggle to set the Project to a "Live" or "Pending" state.
    1. Projects with a Project Status of "Pending" are only accessible to Company Administrators and the Project Creator (even if not a Company Admin).
      1. ❗ ClientLink™ & TeamLink™ Users are not able to access Projects with a Project Status of "Pending" within the Portal and will not receive any notifications regarding the Project. 
    2. Projects with a Project Status of "Live" are accessible to all Company Employees on the Project Team.
      1. ❗ ClientLink™ & TeamLink™ Users can access Projects with Project Status of "Live" within the Portal through email invitations. Notifications run as enabled on these Projects.

  6. Click the blue "Save" button to finalize the Project's status.
    1. "Pending" Projects will appear in a gray font within the Left Sidebar. 
    2. "Live" Projects will appear in a white font within the Left Sidebar.

ALTERNATIVE ACCESS

ConstructionOnline™ Company Users can also set the status of their Projects through the Company Overview: 

  • Navigate to the Company Overview within the Left Sidebar. 
  • Choose the Company Projects tab.
  • Right-click on the desired Project you wish to update the status of.
  • From the dropdown menu, select "Edit Project".
  • Follow Steps 4-6 above. 

    ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

    • When creating a New Project, the Project Status is set to "Live" by default, but can be updated at any time.
    • Company Administrators can still Preview the Portal when the Project is in a "Pending" state.
    • Permissions: All ConstructionOnline Company Users have the ability to edit the Project Status of "Live" Projects, but only ConstructionOnline Company Administrators and Project Creators can edit the Project Status of "Pending" Projects. 
      • If a Non-Company Administrator or Non-Project Creator sets the status of a Project from "Live" to "Pending", they will no longer have access to the Project until it is set back to "Live".
      • Mobile App: Project Status can be set exclusively through browser access to ConstructionOnline™.
        • The ability to update the Project Status is not accessible via the CO™ Mobile App.
