      Duplicate a Project

      Create a new Project in ConstructionOnline™ by duplicating an existing one

      BACKGROUND

      ConstructionOnline is expertly engineered to help construction companies streamline project management through the execution of scalable, repeatable processes. Duplicating an existing project saves valuable time during initial project setup by using an existing project to instantly generate the project's Scope of Work, Estimate, Schedule, Selections, To Dos, Checklists, and more.  

      THINGS TO CONSIDER

      • All Company Users have the ability duplicate Projects with a Project Status set to "Live."
        • However, only Company Admins and Project Creators can duplicate Projects set to "Pending." 
        • If you are unsure of a Project's current Status, it can be viewed or updated from the "Edit Project Details" window. 

      🗒️ Note: Duplicating a Project counts as a Project Start. Each Company Account is limited to a specific number of Project Starts per subscription year, as outlined in the company's subscription contract. 

      HOW TO DUPLICATE A PROJECT

      1. Navigate to the desired Project within the "Company Projects" List. 
      2. Right-click on the Project. 
      3. Select "Duplicate Project" from the dropdown menu.

        1. This will open the "Duplicate Project" window. 
      4. Insert a Name for the Project and choose the information you wish to duplicate.

      5. Click the blue "Create" button.
        1. Once created, the duplicate Project will open automatically.

        ADDITIONAL INFORMATION 

        • Subscription Level: All active ConstructionOnline subscriptions include access to the Duplicate Project option. However, duplicating a Project requires available Project Starts within your plan. 
          • If your company has reached its Project Start limit, additional Project Starts can be purchased by contacting ConstructionOnline. 
        • Permissions: All Company Users can duplicate Projects set to "Live." Only Company Admins and Project Creators can duplicate Projects set to "Pending."
        • CO™ Mobile App: Duplicating Projects is exclusively available through browser access to ConstructionOnline.
