Set Project Type


To set a Project's Type in ConstructionOnline™


ConstructionOnline™ Projects centralize the management of critical information for individual construction jobs, making it easy for construction project teams to preserve the exact details of each individual project. Various Project Details are organized within Projects, including Project Name, Project Number, Project Type, Project Address, Project Currency, Initial Project Price, Project Scope of Work, Project Image, Project Key Roles, Project Site Instructions, Project Status, and more.


  • All Company Users have the ability to Edit Project Details from Projects Set to Live.
    • Company Admins and Project Creators can Edit Project Details from Projects Set to Pending.
    • If you are unsure if a Project is Set to Pending or Live, the Project Status can be Set/Edited from the Edit Project Details.
  • Project Type is used to organize your projects on the left side bar into similar project groupings.
  • ConstructionOnline has Nine Default Project Types available: Single-family Residential, Multi-family Residential, Production Building, Remodeling, Renovation, Commercial, Light Commercial, Office/Warehouse, and Industrial
    • The option to add, remove, or edit the Project Types is possible by clicking the gear icon next to the Project Type field heading.
  • Project Details can be Edited through ConstructionOnline™, as well as CO™ Mobile.


  1. Navigate to the desired Project via the Left Sidebar
  2. Click the Project Name in the top-center of the page
  3. Select Edit Project Details from the dropdown menu
    1. This will open the Details tab in the Project Details Window 
  4. Choose a Project Type from the dropdown menu
    1. Click the gear icon next Project Type field heading to customize the options available for the field.
  5. Click Save
