Assign Key Roles


To assign Company Users to Project Key Roles in ConstructionOnline™ 


ConstructionOnline™ Projects centralize the management of critical information for individual construction jobs, making it easy for construction project teams to preserve the exact details of each individual project. Various Project Details are organized within Projects, including Project Name, Project Number, Project Type, Project Address, Project Currency, Initial Project Price, Project Scope of Work, Project Image, Project Key Roles, Project Site Instructions, Project Status, and more.


  • All Company Users have the ability to Edit Project Details from Projects Set to Live.
    • Company Admins and Project Creators can Edit Project Details from Projects Set to Pending.
    • If you are unsure if a Project is Set to Pending or Live, the Project Status can be Set/Edited from the Edit Project Details.
  • ConstructionOnline™ offers a vast array of Key Role Types. However, the option to add, remove, or edit the Key Role Types is possible by clicking the gear icon next to the Key Role field heading.
  • Company Users must be assigned a Key Role in order to visible within the ClientLink/TeamLink Portals
    • If a Company User is visible within the ClientLink/TeamLink Portals it gives the ClientLink/TeamLink User the ability to message the visible Company User.
  • Key Roles can be assigned exclusively through ConstructionOnline™. The ability to Assign Key Roles is not accessible via CO™ Mobile


  1. Navigate to the desired Project via the Left Sidebar
  2. Click on the Project Name at the top-center
  3. Select Edit Project Details
    1. This will open the Project Details Window
  4. Choose the Key Roles tab
  5. Assign the Key Roles for contacts
    1. Check Show in ClientLink and/or TeamLink option for each contact to be displayed via ClientLink and/or TeamLink
  6. Click Save
