Send an Estimate to QuickBooks Online

OBJECTIVE

To send an estimate from ConstructionOnline to QuickBooks Online

BACKGROUND

Integrating your ConstructionOnline estimates with QuickBooks Online allows for easy creation of bills, customers, invoices and more, eliminating redundant data entry and improving accuracy and efficiency.

THINGS TO CONSIDER

• Your company's QuickBooks Online administrator will need to approve the integration process. 
• ConstructionOnline Projects sync as QuickBooks Online Sub-customers and integration must be activated in ConstructionOnline per-project settings.
• ConstructionOnline Contacts sync as QuickBooks Online Customers. 
• Completing the Company Integration, connecting a ClientLink user, and connecting the project are all required before estimates can be sent to QuickBooks Online.
• Only ConstructionOnline Company Administrators can sync ConstructionOnline and QuickBooks Online.

STEPS TO SEND AN ESTIMATE TO QUICKBOOKS ONLINE

A. From the Accounting Integration category:

1. Navigate to the desired Project via the Left Sidebar
2. Select the Financials tab
3. Choose the Accounting Integration category
4. Select Estimate from the Create for QuickBooks Online dropdown menu
5. Click Create
   
   
   1. This will open the Send Estimate to QuickBooks Online window
6. Choose what to include with your Estimate
7. Click Create
   1. The Activity Log will update once the Estimate has sent to QuickBooks
8. Click the log to open your Estimate in QuickBooks Online
   
   

B. From the Estimate Sidebar:

1. Navigate to the desired Project via the Left Sidebar
2. Select the Financials tab
   1. This will automatically open the Estimating category
3. Locate the Accounting Integration widget via the right Estimate Sidebar
4. Click Send Estimate
   
   1. This will open the Send Estimate to QuickBooks Online window
5. Choose what to include with your Estimate
6. Click Create
   1. The Activity Log will update once the Estimate has sent to QuickBooks
7. Click the log Estimate sent to QuickBooks to open your Estimate within QuickBooks Online
