Create a Warranty Template from Scratch

Build a Warranty Template within ConstructionOnline™

BACKGROUND 

In the fast-paced construction industry, efficiency and accuracy are crucial. ConstructionOnline’s Warranty Tracking feature empowers Users to create and utilize custom Warranty Templates, streamlining the warranty management process. By establishing a standardized framework for warranty documentation for all Company Users, these templates minimize the risk of errors and inconsistencies across projects. This not only saves valuable time but also demonstrates a high level of professionalism and attention to detail, fostering client satisfaction. 

HOW TO CREATE A WARRANTY TEMPLATE FROM SCRATCH 

  1. Navigate to the Warranty Tracking section from the Company Overview.  
  2. From within the "Warranty Templates" tab, press on the green (+) Add a New Warranty Template... button to open the "New Template" extension blade on the right side of your screen.

    1. This is where you can enter Warranty Details and Additional Information that will populate to new Warranties created from the template. 
    2. For more information on filling out these details, check out "Create a New Warranty from Scratch." You may also refer to "Create a New Warranty from a Template" to find out about which Warranty fields cannot be saved within a template. 
  3. Hit the blue "Save" button to create the Warranty Template. 

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

  • Alternative Access Point: A Warranty Template may also be created from scratch within the “Warranty Tracking” tab of a specific Project.
  • Templates function as a companywide feature in ConstructionOnline, giving all Company Users with the appropriate permissions access to saved Warranty Templates.
  • Subscription Level: ConstructionOnline's Warranty Tracking feature is available for companies with current ConstructionOnline subscriptions at Team, Business, and Enterprise levels.
    • Warranty Tracking is also available as a Per-Company Add-On for all other plans. 
  • Permissions: Admin Users and Company Users with "Can Create & Edit" or “Can Create, Edit, & Delete” permissions for Warranty Tracking can create Warranty Templates.
  • CO™ Mobile App: The Warranty Tracking feature is available via the mobile app. However, managing Warranty Templates is currently exclusively available through browser access to ConstructionOnline.
