Add a Custom Message Signature

Customize Messages in ConstructionOnline with personal Message signatures.

OBJECTIVE

To add a custom signature for Messages in ConstructionOnline.

BACKGROUND

ConstructionOnline Messaging is a convenient and centralized method of communication available for all ConstructionOnline users. Messaging replaces traditional emails and text messages, giving you the power to document in-line responses and streamline all forms of project communication. ConstructionOnline Company Users can further customize Messages by setting a default custom signature to populate to each Message sent.

THINGS TO CONSIDER

  • Once a Message signature has been set, it will appear on every message or reply sent.
    • Users can make one-time edits to their Message signature within each individual message or reply.
  • Message signatures will also appear on every message or reply sent from the ConstructionOnline Mobile App.
  • Message signatures cannot be set from the ConstructionOnline Mobile App. 
  • Only ConstructionOnline Company Users can set Message signatures.
  • Message signatures must be set on an individual level— Company Administrators cannot set Message signatures for Company Employees.

STEPS TO SET A MESSAGE SIGNATURE

  1. Navigate to the Company Dropdown Menu in the top right corner of ConstructionOnline.
  2. Under Account Settings, click Edit Profile.
  3. Under General Info, select the Message Signature tab.
  4. In the text box, enter the desired text for your Message signature.
    1. Any text pasted into the text box will be automatically reformatted to ConstructionOnline's default text font and sizing.
    2. Images cannot be inserted into a Message signature.
    3. It is not recommended to enter code for an HTML email signature.
  5. Click Save to set your Message signature for future use.

To view your new Message signature in action, Create a New Message or reply to an existing Conversation!
