To promote the highest level of detail within Change Order documentation, ConstructionOnline™ offers easy-to-use features such as the Time Stamp tool which allow Company Users to instantly document the date and time at which they make or edit Change Order Notes.

STEPS TO ADD A TIME STAMP TO CHANGE ORDER NOTES

  1. Navigate to the desired Project via the Left Sidebar.
  2. Select the Financials tab and choose the Change Orders category.
  3. From the Change Orders Overview pane, click anywhere on the desired Change Order to open the Change Order Details window. 
  4. Within the Change Order Details window, select the Notes tab
  5. Click the Insert Time Stamp button. 
    1. Time Stamps can be entered before or after entering Notes, or independently of Note entries, but cannot be retroactively populated. 
  6. Once you have inserted the desired Time Stamp, click the blue "Save" button to confirm your updates OR click the "Save & Notify" button to confirm your updates and send email notifications. 

BEST USE

Add an extra layer of detail to your change order documentation with Time Stamps for Change Order Notes. By using the Time Stamp button when adding or editing Change Order Notes, ConstructionOnline™ automatically populates the exact date and time next to the Change Order Note entry. 

With this one, simple click, you can not only provide extra detail to your Change Order information—protecting your company's bottom line and saving you from hassle in any future legal disputes—but, you can also ensure absolute accuracy and clarity of documentation across your project team.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

  • Time Stamps can be added to the Notes of Change Orders with any Status: Pending, Approved, and/or Rejected. 
  • Permissions: ConstructionOnline™ Company Users must have Change Orders permissions set to "Can Create, Edit, & Delete" to edit Notes/insert Time Stamps within Change Order Details. 
    • ClientLink™ Users cannot edit Notes/insert Times Stamps to Change Orders; however, depending on their Change Orders permissions, they may be able to "view, approve, and/or reject Pending Change Orders" - which includes Change Order Notes. Additionally, their permissions may be further customized to: 
      • Receive Change Order email notifications 
      • Only show users the Change Orders they're assigned to 
      • Show Ordered/Delivered information for Change Orders 
    • TeamLink™ Users cannot edit Notes/insert Times Stamps to Change Orders; however, depending on the Change Orders permissions, they may be able to "view Change Orders they're assigned to" - which includes the Change Order's Notes. Additionally, their permissions may be further customized so that they can receive Change Order email notifications.
  • Mobile App: Change Order Notes—and their respective features—can be accessed exclusively through browser access to ConstructionOnline™.
