Enable Geofence Settings for Time Tracking

Customize location-based time tracking and notifications for your projects within the ConstructionOnline™ Mobile app

BACKGROUND

ConstructionOnline's Advanced Time Tracking includes intelligent Geolocation Settings with automatic clock-in/out notifications based on the user's proximity to assigned jobsites. By customizing geofence radius and tracking schedules, you can ensure time tracking and notifications align with how and when your team works—keeping your project data accurate and timely. 

⚠️ Important: Make sure Location Access is enabled for the ConstructionOnline Mobile app in your device's settings. Geofencing relies on location services to function properly

HOW TO ENABLE GEOFENCE SETTINGS

  1. Open the ConstructionOnline Mobile App on your device.
  2. Select the 3-line menu button located in the top left corner of the screen.
  3. Click the "Settings" option next to the gear icon. 
  4. Choose "Locationunder the Date & Time / Location section.

  5. Toggle On the  "Enable Project Location Geofencing?" option.
  6. Use the controls to adjust the Geolocation settings, including:
    1. Geofence Radius: determine the distance at which notifications are triggered
    2. Nearby Radius: define the distance at which to include “Nearby Projects”
    3. Geofence Schedule: limit location tracking to preferred days/times 
    4. Changes are saved automatically.
