Construction runs on handoffs—a new lead comes in, a contact needs to be added, a task gets assigned, time gets logged. Every manual handoff between the tools your team uses is a chance for delays and missed information.

ConstructionOnline’s integration with Zapier lets you connect your project data to thousands of the other tools your business relies on, without a single line of code. Whether you’re syncing contacts across platforms or triggering notifications when field activity is logged, Zapier makes it possible to automate the manual handoffs that slow construction teams down.

THINGS TO CONSIDER

Before you set up the ConstructionOnline + Zapier integration, you must have:

  1. An active ConstructionOnline account. All active Company Users on eligible ConstructionOnline subscription plans may integrate with Zapier.
    • Eligible ConstructionOnline subscription plans include those at Team, Business, or Enterprise levels.
    • Access to Zapier integration is not available during ConstructionOnline's free 10-day trial.
    • Contact the ConstructionOnline Team if you have questions about your account or current subscription. 
  2. An active Zapier account. Zapier is a separate service and is not included with your ConstructionOnline subscription.

HOW THE INTEGRATION WORKS 

ConstructionOnline works with Zapier using two building blocks: Triggers and Actions.

  • Triggers are events that occur within ConstructionOnline that can start a Zap, initiating an Action—either in another connected app or within ConstructionOnline itself.
    • For example, when a new Calendar Event is added to ConstructionOnline, that event can trigger an automated action in another connected app—such as adding that event to a Google Calendar.
  • Actions are operations that Zapier performs within ConstructionOnline in response to a Trigger—from another connected app or from within ConstructionOnline itself.
    • For example, when a contact is added in your CRM (e.g., Salesforce), automatically create a matching Lead in ConstructionOnline.

ConstructionOnline's available Triggers and Actions can be paired with Triggers and Actions from thousands of other apps connected through Zapier to build powerful, automated workflows tailored to your business.

HOW TO CONNECT YOUR ACCOUNTS

Before you can begin configuring Triggers and Actions into Zaps, you will first need to connect your ConstructionOnline account and your Zapier account.

  1. Log in to your Zapier account
  2. Once logged in, select Explore Apps in the top right-hand corner and search for "ConstructionOnline"
  3. Click the option to Connect ConstructionOnline to 9,000+ apps. This will take you to a screen within Zapier where you can configure your first Zap using any of the available Triggers and Actions.
  4. Select the option to Sign In under Account on the right-hand side of the screen.
  5. When prompted, enter your ConstructionOnline credentials to authorize the connection between Zapier and ConstructionOnline.

🗒️Note: ConstructionOnline is a secure partner with Zapier. Your credentials are encrypted and can be removed from Zapier at any time.

Disconnecting your ConstructionOnline account will disable any Zaps that have been configured using ConstructionOnline Triggers and/or Actions.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION 

  • Subscription Level: Zapier integration is available for ConstructionOnline accounts with active subscriptions at Team, Business, or Enterprise levels.

  • CO™ Mobile: Triggers fire based on the underlying API event, meaning Zaps will run regardless of whether the action was taken in ConstructionOnline via browser access or via the ConstructionOnline Mobile App. No additional setup is required for mobile compatibility.
