Delete a Meeting

Remove a meeting from your Meetings List in ConstructionOnline™

BACKGROUND

In the course of managing construction projects, it can sometimes become necessary to remove meeting records—whether due to cancellation, scheduling error, or ongoing data maintenance. Keeping your project documentation clean and up to date helps reduce confusion, protect project history, and maintain focus on relevant action items.

ConstructionOnline's Meeting Minutes allows authorized users to delete meetings when necessary, helping teams to maintain accurate documentation. To protect critical information, this ability is restricted to users with appropriate permissions, ensuring control and accountability. 

THINGS TO CONSIDER

⚠️ Important: Deleting a meeting is a permanent action. Once deleted, Meetings are permanently removed from the Company Account and cannot be recovered.

  • Existing meetings can only be deleted by Admin Users and Company Users who have "Can Create, Edit, & Delete" permissions for Meeting Minutes.
    • Users can only delete meeting they have access to (i.e. meeting they have created, are invited to, or that are set to Public). 

HOW TO DELETE A MEETING 

  1. Access the Meeting
    1. Open the "Company Overview" tab through the Left Sidebar or the Company Selector in the Top Navigation Bar. 
      1. If you're working within a specific Project, use the Feature Selector to access that Project's Meetings. 
    2. Select Meetings under the "Meeting Minutes" section. 
  2. Delete the Meeting 
    1. Hover over the desired meeting and right-click.
    2. Select the red "Delete" option from the dropdown menu.

    3. A confirmation message will appear in the bottom-right corner of your screen confirming deletion. The blue "Undo" text is the only opportunity to revert the action.

  3. Deleting a Recurring Meeting
    1. When deleting a repeating meeting, you will be prompted to select between:
      1. Delete this Meeting Only: Removes only this single instance of the meeting, keeps other scheduled instances intact
      2. Delete this and future Meetings: Removes the selected instance of the meeting, as well as all other meetings in the series 

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION 

  • ConstructionOnline records all deletions in the Company History Log, including:
    • A meeting that was deleted
    • The user who deleted the meeting
    • The date and time of the deletion

  • Subscription Level: Meeting Minutes is available for companies with current ConstructionOnline Commercial or Multi-Family subscriptions at Team, Business, and Enterprise levels. 
    • Meeting Minutes is also available as a Per-Company Add-On for all other plans. 
  • Permissions: Admin Users and Company Users with "Can Create, Edit, and Delete" for Meeting Minutes can delete meetings visible to them. 
    • For Company Users, this includes meetings they've created, are invited to, or those set as Public. 
  • CO™ Mobile App: Currently, Meeting Minutes is exclusively available through browser access to ConstructionOnline.
