Create a New Warranty Issue from the ClientLink™ Portal

Submit a service request online to your builder and communicate directly about warranty issues through ConstructionOnline’s Client Portal

BACKGROUND 

The Warranty Tracking feature in ConstructionOnline™ provides ClientLink Users the opportunity to have access to a centralized platform for tracking and resolving warranty issues. This transparency allows clients to easily monitor created service requests, stay informed about the resolution process, and feel confident that concerns are being addressed professionally.

STEPS TO CREATE A NEW WARRANTY ISSUE FROM THE CLIENTLINK PORTAL 

  1. From within the Portal, navigate to the desired Project via the Left Sidebar. 
    1. If the "Warranty Tracking" tab isn’t available in your ClientLink Portal, contact your builder to inquire about access. 

  2. Select the "Warranty Tracking" tab to access the “Issues” section.

  3.  Click on the green (+) Add a New Issue button to open the "Warranty Issue Details" extension blade on the right side of your screen.

  4. Enter details about the warranty issue including - 
    1. A brief description
      1. This field is required. 
    2. The location
    3. Additional notes
  5. Along with these details, you can select the "Attachments" tab and press the green (+) Add New Attachment to upload files, photos, or videos pertinent to the Warranty Issue. 
  6.  Click the blue "Save" button to create the warranty issue. 

    1. This will send a notification to the builder that a ClientLink User has created a service request. 
    2. Once sent, a warranty issue cannot be edited. However, the warranty issue will be available for viewing in the ClientLink Portal, so that you can see any updates or additional information added by your builder. 

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

  • Permissions: ClientLink permissions are managed by ConstructionOnline Company Users. If you have questions about what is/is not accessible through your Client Portal, contact your builder directly. 
  • CO™ Mobile App: Currently, Warranty Tracking features are exclusively available via browser access to ConstructionOnline.
