Access Files/Photos via OneDrive

OBJECTIVE

To access a File or Photo from within ConstructionOnline that's stored in your OneDrive

BACKGROUND

Integrating your ConstructionOnline account with your Microsoft account allows for you to directly and easily access Files & photos stored in OneDrive. ConstructionOnline’s comprehensive file management system paired with Microsoft integration capabilities makes receiving and sending Files/Photos an efficient and direct process. Files are able to be managed from a single location, eliminating the need for multiple systems to be at play.

THINGS TO CONSIDER

  • Microsoft Integration is available to all ConstructionOnline Pro Users.
  • Files/Photos will not be automatically shared between ConstructionOnline & OneDrive.

STEPS TO ACCESS FILES VIA ONEDRIVE

  1. Navigate to Company Files, My Files, or a Project via the Left Sidebar
    1. Select the Files tab if you're in a Project
  2. Click the green +Add New button
  3. Select New Upload
    1. This will open the Upload Files window
  4. Click Your Cloud File Storage
  5. Choose OneDrive from left hand list of Cloud Storage options
  6. Select the Files/Photos you want to copy to ConstructionOnline
    1. Entire Albums/Folders can be uploaded from Dropbox to ConstructionOnline
  7. Finalize by clicking “Copy selected file(s) to ConstructionOnline”
    1. The button at the bottom will show "Files transferring" while the files are being transferred.  Once it is complete, the modal will close. Files can now be managed from within your ConstructionOnline account along with all other project details.

TIPS AND TRICKS

  • Keep in mind that OneDrive Integration is a one-way integration. In other words, files cannot be sent from ConstructionOnline to One Drive directly.
  • Editing and/or deleting Files/Photos in ConstructionOnline that were uploaded from One Drive will have no effect on the original File/Photo stored in One Drive.
