Learn about the rate limits for the ConstructionOnline API
To protect the stability and performance of the API, ConstructionOnline enforces specific rate limits for API usage. Rate limiting controls how many requests or calls can be made to the ConstructionOnline API.
The ConstructionOnline API has standard rate limits that determine how many requests can be made in a given window of time. Rate limits are allocated per API key. This means the total number of requests made by one API key will be counted against the rate limits for the ConstructionOnline API.
The ConstructionOnline API limits 500 requests per hour, with the rate limit resetting every hour. Additional rate limits for daily, weekly, and monthly use can be found below. These additional rate limits will automatically reset after the allotted time for each limit. For example, the daily limit will reset after 24 hours.
Hourly Limit | 500 requests per hour |
Daily Limit | 10,000 requests per day |
Weekly Limit | 50,000 requests per week |
Monthly Limit | 200,000 requests per month |
If a request is attempted past the allotted threshold, the API will return a 429 error response code—notifying the client which rate limit was hit and how long they must must wait before re-attempting the request.
Disclaimer: rate limits for the API are subject to change at any time. Rate limit quotas may be updated or new quotas may be added in the future.
