Delete a contact

Remove an existing contact from your ConstructionOnline contact list

 put https://api.constructiononline.com/api/Contacts?action=DELETE&id={id}&contactInfo={contactInfo}

This endpoint allows users to remove an existing contact from their company contact list. Note that the contact object itself will not be actually deleted; instead, it will be removed the user's company contact list. To delete a contact, users must know the unique numerical ID assigned to the contact.

❗ As a safety precaution to avoid accidental deletion, users must enter the ID for the contact in both the parameters 'id' and 'contactInfo'.

Requests

REQUIRED PARAMETERS

id: integer

  • Unique identifier for the contact

contactInfo: JSON object

  • Must contain the ID for the contact in the form of a key-value pair
  • Example: contactInfo={"id" : "1234567"}

Responses

green 200: Success

A successful request will return an empty 200 response, signaling that the contact was successfully removed.

red 404: Error

The server was not able to locate the resource specified in the request. The ID may have been entered incorrectly or a contact with the entered ID does not exist.

red 429: Error

The user has surpassed the request rate limit for the hour, day, week, or month.

 red 500: Error

There was an internal server error and the server was unable to complete the request.
