Create a Selection Choice

Generate a new selection choice for a project in your ConstructionOnline company account

post https://api.constructiononline.com/api/SelectionChoices?selInfo={selInfo}

This endpoint allows users to create a new selection choice for a project in their ConstructionOnline company account. If successful, the endpoint will return a record of the newly created selection choice. The new choice will be automatically assigned a unique numerical ID called 'ID', which will be used for any future references. The required fields for this endpoint include a name, related project ID, and related subcategory ID; all other properties are optional and can be entered during creation or updated at a later time. Users must enter the properties for creation in the URL of the request, specifically within the selInfo parameter.

Please note that a selection choice must be associated with an existing selection subcategory (SUBCATEGORY_ID) for an existing project (PRJ_ID).

Requests

  • Required properties: NAME, PRJ_ID, SUBCATEGORY_ID
  • Allowed properties: DETAILS, APPROVED, DATE_APPROVED, APPROVED_BY, PRICE, UNIT_NAME, QTY, TOTAL_COST, URL, IMAGE_ID, VENDOR_TEXT, STATUS, VENDOR_ID, DATE_CREATED, CREATED_BY, SORT_NUM, TYPE, IS_DEFAULT, AMOUNT_PAID, ACTUAL, MARKUP, QB_INVOICED, QB_ACTUAL

Sample request URL:

  • https://api.constructiononline.com/api/SelectionChoices?selInfo={"NAME" : "Kitchen Appliances", "PRJ_ID" : "123456", "SUBCATEGORY_ID" : "1232323"}
